Anywayyy!!

My first Christmas in Melbourne was spent with my Mom and Jane in Melbourne baking ginger bread men and roaming around suburbs to suburbs to see very awesome light displays people decorate their houses with.

And also some lil santa's sleighs on Bourke St.

It's doesn't really feel like Christmas with temperatures peaking to 38/40 almost half the week.. and dropping to 22~ the other half the week.

My new year's celebration for 2010 still stands second best to 2009's Genting.

So the rave that I went was called Sensation White. Basically 40,000 people wearing white from head to toe who are high on stuff and celebrating the new year being "Under the Ocean of White".

See see.. that's the ocean of white.. that's the coral.. and that's the jelly fishes and the sting ray tail.

All in all, lousy music, good atmosphere imo.

So, for those of you who don't know! Just received a job offer from CA Kilias Co. It's an accounting firm, guess I'm gonna be an accountant after all.. while doing masters. Gonna be starting on Feb 1st.. so slim chance I'll be back for CNY/Birthday/Valentine (JoyceoO!).

.. unless I get fired.

Anyway I posted that pic up cause I really miss you guys, and I'm really busy being bored these days.

Protocol to Amend the Agreement on the Common Effective Preferential Tariff (CEPT) Scheme for the ASEAN Free Trade Area (AFTA) for the Ilimination of Import Duties

The Governments of Brunei Darussalam, the Kingdom of Cambodia, the Republic of Indonesia, the Lao People's Democratic Republic, Malaysia, the Union of Myanmar, the Republic of the Philippines, the Republic of Singapore, the Kingdom of Thailand and the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam, Member States of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (hereinafter referred to as "ASEAN");

NOTING the Agreement on the Common Effective Preferential Tariff (CEPT) Scheme for the ASEAN Free Trade Area (AFTA) signed in Singapore on 28 January 1992, and the Protocol to Amend the Agreement on the Common Effective Preferential Tariff Scheme for the ASEAN Free Trade Area, signed in Bangkok on 15 December 1995 (hereinafter referred to as "the Agreement"), and its protocols;

REITERATING their commitment to accelerating the liberalisation of intra-ASEAN trade through AFTA using the CEPT Scheme;

RECALLING the decision of the Thirteenth AFTA Council Meeting in Singapore on 29 September 1999 to work towards the elimination of import duties on all products to achieve the eventual objective of a free trade area by the year 2015 for the six original ASEAN Member Countries and the year 2018 for the new Members of ASEAN;

RECALLING FURTHER the decision of the Third ASEAN Informal Summit in Manila, the Philippines on 28 November 1999 to eliminate all import duties by 2010, ahead of the original schedule, for the six original members of ASEAN and to advance the schedule from 2018 to 2015 for the new members of ASEAN, but allowing some sensitive products to follow the original date of 2018;

RECOGNISING the need to amend the Agreement to reflect the decision by the ASEAN Heads of Government/State;

HAVE AGREED AS FOLLOWS:

Article 1
Elimination of Import Duties

The following paragraphs shall be added as Article 4(C) (Elimination of Import Duties) of the Agreement:

Import duties on products in the Inclusion Lists of Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand shall be eliminated not later than 1 January 2010.

Import duties on products in the Inclusion Lists of Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar and Viet Nam shall be eliminated not later than 1 January 2015, with flexibility however allowed for import duties on some sensitive products to be eliminated not later than 1 January 2018.

The provisions of Articles 4(C)(1) and 4(C)(2) of the Agreement shall not apply to the list of products of Member States contained in Annexes 1 and 2 of the Protocol on the Special Arrangement for Sensitive and Highly Sensitive Products. The tariff reduction schedule for these products shall be governed by Article III of the Protocol on the Special Arrangement for Sensitive and Highly Sensitive Products.

Article 2
Final Provisions

This Protocol shall be effective upon signing.

This Protocol shall be deposited with the Secretary-General of ASEAN, who shall promptly furnish a certified copy thereof to each Member State.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the undersigned being duly authorised by their respective Governments, have signed this Protocol to Amend the Agreement on the Common Effective Preferential Tariff Scheme for the ASEAN Free Trade Area.

DONE this 31st day of January 2003, in a single copy, in the English language.

Article 4 (C)(1)

1. Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore and Thailand shall eliminate import duties on at least 60% of the products in the Inclusion List by 1 January 2003. Tariffs on the remaining 40% of the Inclusion List shall be eliminated not later than 1 January 2010.

Article 4 (C)(2)

2. Import duties on products in the Inclusion Lists of Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar and Viet Nam shall be eliminated not later than 1 January 2015, with flexibility however being accorded by allowing the duties on some sensitive products to be eliminated not later than 1 January 2018.

1. Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar and Viet Nam shall eliminate import duties on products in the Inclusion List by January 2015.

2. Flexibility to defer the elimination of duties to 1 January 2018 for some products in the Inclusion List deemed sensitive shall be allowed. Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar and Viet Nam shall notify the AFTA Council of these products in advance.

Been studying for exams, at least, trying to. Been listening to music, songs about sex and getting laid and partying with booze and sippin' on 'petron' and stuff, are fading away in this phase of my life. of course, i do download them just so i won't be outdated, like listening to Stuttering in May, and just so Gene would shut the hell up whenever i listen to songs he'd listened to a few decades ago. yeah. just kidding. haha.

i've always been interested in music, and i don't mean, hey let's get a band and write emo love songs just because they are cool. i listen to them, try to get into it, what's it talking about, why they wrote it, who sang them, yet, don't try to be like them just because i'd like to take up a persona. simply, i don't want to end up walking around like a rocker, an emo, or what malaysian and many other asian kids do best - the hip hop star with a fucking cap tilted sideways, pulled down just so it covers my ears.

if ever i were to write a song, i'd like to sing about what's happening around me, and sing it dressed like how i normally would. i've ever been fantasizing about the idea of a singer, a rapper, a dancer or anything, dressed with a tee shirt, polo or something, tucked in, jeans, sneakers, and sing. no point for big shirts, big caps, few grills and few blings. if i were to sing, i'd be dressed like what i wrote above, few a few earrings, exactly like how i would dress up when i go out. or, wear a dress shirt, black one, black pants, leather shoes, black, just because i think black is cool. and sophisticated. definitely not a wannabe.

yeah i'd do that. and be myself when i listen to music, sing to express, not sing just because i'd like those bitches to suck my cock or something. not because i'd like to form a boy band and rock around just so those bitches would climb to the stage and shake their titties at me. yeah, titties. i don't even call them boobs because they are probably high school chicks, yeah only impressionable highschoolers would do that. ladies, would keep it tucked in, perhaps flaunt a little with a low cut but that's about it.

and i've been thinking about the music industry in malaysia. how many great songs are not exposed to the children. how they are told to listen to what's good for them, told to watch movies that are good for them, told them to behave they way they should. as a result, yeah we get a lot of teenagers running away and killing themselves in the world, not too sure about malaysia because they probably wouldn't release such records simply because the officials would like everyone to believe we're a good country. yeah fuck that. we honestly need more exposure when it comes to music, how every piece of them bring a message, every song is an entity, how a song has its individual characteristics if it's transformed into a person.

nothing, nothing teaches us better about life better than music. books don't tell us much about life, only teach us what needs to be done just so we'll end up having big houses and drive fancy cars and shit. lyrics are written from the depth of our minds, because we have something to tell, we have a story to share. if only books could do that. of course, i meant the books we get in high school or university. definitely not talking about a biography or fiction, non-fiction, etc.

sadly, i believe the music industry is currenly polluted with shit tunes that make us dance like freaks, shit lyrics that encourage us to get laid. all that bullshit. whatever happened to the good old rap and stuff. rap is dead, apparently. sex and drugs and dining at the Y rules, just because sex sells. yet these kinda songs are being played in malaysia, just because it sells. it's appropriate for our children, they should listen to these, just because we'll get a lot of money if we play it. yeah, we should, because it makes us money. we should privatise water utility in the third world, just because it 'creates' jobs for the poor and so we could make more money when they pay taxes. make us money = 'good' for the children.

at this phase i'm going through right now, i've decided to stop listening to alternative rock and songs about sex for a moment, i'm gonna stop Metric, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, all that Ian Van Dahl, Blank & Jones, ABV stuff, and those Bow Wow stuff, those Chris Brown leg move dance-so-that-chick-would-suck-my-dick.

in fact, i'm already listening to Nas, Quest, Wu Tang, and Run DMC. just so i'll understand what happened during that era, and try to grasp the energy they had when they wrote the lyrics, try to picture how they were feeling when they wrote it, what made them do it. and perhaps after that i'll try on Lynyrd Skynrd and Janis Joplin and stuff. try to understand what their songs are about, what made them to stand among the best. i've had it with my attitude of taking music for granted, only listening to songs that are played right now, without even bothering about the predecessors. i do not deserve the rights to call myself a music enthusiast if i never knew them, and i have no rights to pursue music as one of the prospects in my future if i don't even know them right now.

and sex and shit are destroying songs like this, making us turn to the next song just because there's not a good beat to it. lyrics always win us over, always. lyrics are the character of a person, beats and tunes and rhythm are just eye candies.

I don't fucking mind at all wei even if it's not AAAAA or AABBC or whichever that starts with A and ends with C cuz seriously, only Chia Ern has the faintest idea about how much i procrastinated for this exam.

Why? because he was there, talking to me, the night before my last exam and we chatted on msn for hours til i told him, "eh, i'm like, 3 hours from my exam wei, i think i gotta go man, need to study." or was it 4? i forgot. but seriously, i procrastinated like FUCK.

I remember when we spoke it was for my accounting exam and seriousfuckingly...i hadn't even read anything from the lecture notes lol. then the best part, after we spoke, i cycled out to buy a pack of fags, then dillydallied a little more when i came back, smoke a few sticks before i started.

No, that wasn't even the best part yet. i remember reading some chapters and trying to get myself started for an hour or two til i realized my effort would be futile if things were to go this way, THEN i scheme through the notes and settled down by reading only 3 chapters out of 12 HAHAHA.

It was a risk to be taken la honestly, but i thought, hey, the last 3 chapters are ALL fucking theories. and since the exam consists of 50% theory, it's only viable if everything came out from there, RIGHT? i don't suppose they will extract bits and parts from other chapters and lump everything into one, even if they do, it wouldn't have as much as punch as a strong, constructive question if extracted from THAT 3 chapters, right?

and yes, i took another 2 hours to study that 3 chapters, ONLY that 3 chapters, then when i reached uni, i took 30 mins to browse through what i had studied, so i wouldn't forget, in the end went into exam late some more - on purpose of course.

then, POW! got one fucking whole question based on one of the 3 chapters. one fucking whole question WEI - 30 points! omg! then got a few here and there ALSO from that 3 chapters OMG OMG OMG hahahaha.

still, i doubted the outcome for Accounts since there was this whole shit question that costs 40 points, the compulsory question. i main tembak cuz i don't really remember, so you can i fucking all in into the other 60 lol.

gee-whiz. got C for it, it's good enough alright? it's good enough. hahahah T.T WUWUUWUWUWUUWUW

the others..bah, you don't even wanna know how much i procrastinated for it. consider what i wrote above as the least of all, alright? hahhaha

It's 2 p.m., 7th of May 2009. I have done two papers. I have two to go:
9 a.m., 8th of May 2009.
9 a.m., 11th of May 2009.

Then I'll be done.

I think the biggest challenge right now is to be able to study everything I have to for the next paper within 1 fucking day. And for the other within those 2 days in between papers.

Well my procrastination has always been at a rank above everyone else's. I procrastinate so much that at 2 a.m. when I have to get ready and leave for exams in less than 6 hours I think, ahh, that's plenty of time. Might as well watch some videos on Youtube. So yeah, I'm getting myself into a lot of trouble. Like a sohai. Chill la my future is set, 6k basic. My DiabloII char level 70+, my MUD char lvl 2x40 in 2 weeks (this is real btw, I've been playing MUD again - and so has Barath. Gene, time to join up again :P).

But yeah back to my fucking point. Sorry for not updating and shit. FH, really appreciate the mail and stuff, thanks and sorry for not replying until now. Well bottom line is you can be sure I'll be free from the 11th onwards. Will be coming back to Malaysia in June, most likely middle. Maybe around 10th.

So i had a dream this morning, it was the nastiest dream that i wouldn't dream of having in my fuzziest daydream.

I dreamt that my girlfriend past away in the ghastly manner; killed by some cock evil spirit and was hidden under a huge rock. yes yes, i know, you're probably doing the WTF face right now, smacking your forehead thus leaving a wide handmark on it. Goddam it the dream was real as fuck though, i remember telling the people around me (jh and vy i think) that she will always be my gf and it's virtually impossible to find someone as special and different like her.

Then i jumped out of my bed, panting and scrambled through my table to look for a fag. nothing feels better than your first stick in the morning, no? urgh.

I suppose something similar had occured to you guys as well, when you'd overslept and your subconscious cooked up a weird, sometimes, funny dream to wake you up? a couple of days ago when Jacklyn was still in Kampar, i dreamt that i was Harry Potter and was having the best adventure of my life in the ocean - kinda similar to Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire when he had to swim in the dark lake of some shit to finish the second trial. *snickers*

As i recall i was supposed to wake up to accompany Queen J.

so how did it happen? what the fuck was going on this couple of weeks? why was i not online for weeks? all thanks to the management of course. see, this cinas over here right, they are seriously fucking efficient. No i'm serious, they are so good at their job that it took them 6 weeks to fix my fucking internet, how awesome can that be, right?

Allow me to explain everything chronologically (somewhat) to give you a clearer picture:

1st week: Raining heavily. Fucking modem gone bust cuz of the fucking lightning.

1st week, 3rd day: Gave our modems to the fucking management, said they need 2 weeks to go down to kl to get it done. I had this strong urge to fucking spit on their face and jump on them like a madman to tell them it only takes me fucking 3 hours for me to reach KL.

3rd week: Modem came back, fucking finally. So, online finally? have a lot of shows to catch up, assignments as well - which can be quite a bitch sometimes. the next thing i knew, it kept on disconnecting and it took 2 hours to load google. the modem is fucked up.

3rd week, 3rd day: reported the problem to them. had a gut feeling that it fell on deaf ears, but i tried to be optimistic about it.

the end of week 4: the internet is still screwed up, so yeap, i was right.

week 5: reported, again, 2nd time. to this bitch called candice, or whatever. she, like everyone else whom i reported to prior to this, proceeded to ask me obvious questions like, "have you tried restarting your modem? have you tried restarting your comp? your router? perhaps there's something wrong with it?" which prompted such fury in my fucking ass that i felt like jumping off from my seat like a madman and explain to her how many fucking times i ran up and down to try different methods to fix the connection problem. since the modem is actually downstairs, i had to walk down to restart it and God knows what else. all i remember was i walked up and down for 10 times in one night, trying to fix it. plug in, plug out, reset, switch off, switch wires, wait around idlely before plugging it in, plug out phone line, you name it, i did it.

week 5, 3rd day: okay, still not working. what. the. fuck.

week 6, friday: finally. it's working. yes. thank god. 6 weeks. without internet. assignments. animes. heroes. and God knows what else. it's fucked up.

Fucking cheebye man the management. I seriously wonder what the fuck do they do besides sorting out bills for us and telling those 'technicians' to fix a broken pipe in Ah Chong's house or some bug infestation in Ah Lien's house.

Which figures, because everything here is so shitty that the students move out of this area within months previously, that every new occupant right now has to sign an agreement to stay at least a year before moving out.

and i was right about them of course, i told my parents that i didn't wanna stay there because it's fucked up, not convenient, this and that, yet they didn't listen. great, ain't it? mahai buy cigarette also have to cycle 20 mins. diu. reload also another problem. mahai ar. i need a car man. better still, i need to get out of this hell hole.
